This lady is painted from my imagination, not one "canvas" but five, drilled and threaded so that she appears to be a single painting. By coincidence she is a mahogany coloured much like the window and by hanging her tight to the window she appears to be emerging from behind the window. Actually painted on mdf with another image on the reverse.
Could be described as Portable, collapsible, reversible and conceptual. A bit cheeky as the reverse is naked.
this dolphin is on 18mm ply cut out with a bandsaw then painted. Has a birthday greeting on the reverse. See "Time to Rhyme" under my life.

Illusions of Grandeur
Most people seem to like my work and very few have declined my offer to "take it home" Can I conclude that they are worth display or were they just being polite. I did sell a few at an exhibition held to raise funds for Parkinson's research and was really selling to friends. I found that flowers were very popular as were my illustrated poems. I did a portrait of Pete Postlethwaite, what an actor he was, that received many compliments but no real interest. So when I saw an invitation (advertisement) for exhibitors at an art exhibition to be held in July at our local village hall I decided to make some entries although I have yet to fill in the forms. My stuff may not be accomplished and the result of years of learning but it is, I believe, unique in style and holds some surprises.
